About the Role

Buildots is transforming how construction is delivered — combining AI, reality capture, and data-driven insights to make construction smarter, faster, and more efficient.

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and real-world construction challenges. In this role, you’ll serve as the technical authority in our sales efforts, helping top-tier construction companies understand how Buildots fits into their workflows — and where it can create real, measurable impact.

A deep understanding of the construction industry is essential for this role — particularly in complex, mission-critical projects like data centers, hospitals, and other high-precision environments. Your ability to speak the language of construction professionals and understand their technical and operational constraints will be a key factor in your success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the technical side of the sales process, from discovery to solutions design and technical validation.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling value for each customer.
  • Work closely with prospects to understand their specific technical needs, including system integrations, workflow requirements, and site conditions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to tailor our solution and messaging to enterprise and strategic accounts.
  • Support proposal development, RFPs, and technical documentation when needed.
  • Stay up to date on the construction technology landscape, with deep focus on mission-critical environments and high-complexity projects.

What You Bring

  • A strong technical mindset – you’re comfortable diving into product architecture, APIs, workflows, and customer infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of the construction industry, especially how large, complex projects are managed and delivered.
  • Familiarity with mission-critical projects (e.g. data centers, healthcare, pharma, infrastructure) — their constraints, terminology, and expectations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – you can engage both technical and non-technical audiences with confidence.
  • High level of autonomy and initiative – you know how to push things forward independently and prioritize effectively.
  • A team-first attitude – you work well with Sales, Product, and Customer teams to build and deliver winning solutions.
  • Prior experience in a Sales Engineer / Solutions Consultant / Pre-Sales role at a B2B SaaS or construction-tech company is a strong plus.
  • Must be located in Eastern or Central time zones.
