Job Overview:

We're looking for a Partnerships Associate to join our Business Development team who is not only excited to work in a fast-paced tech environment but also has an exceptional work ethic. The Business Development team is responsible for the expansion of brand partners on our platform for both existing and new verticals.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Partnerships Associate to scout and onboard fresh and exciting brands into our marketplace. If you have a keen eye for what's next in consumer trends and love the challenge of introducing new brands to a dynamic platform, this position is tailor-made for you. This role will require significant travel (~20% of time) for industry trade shows, brand meetings, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Brand Outreach:

  • Source new brands to expand our marketplace offering.
  • Conduct cold outreach to target brands through social media, outbound channels, and industry events.
  • Pitch brands on our value proposition and understand key requirements of existing partners (e.g., payment terms, integration, etc.).

2. Partner Management:

  • Develop lasting relationships with brand partners, ensuring their smooth integration and success on our platform.
  • Communicate proactively to cross-functional teams on product improvements to improve the brand experience.

3. Market Insight:

  • Become the go-to expert on your vertical, including new and emerging brands and product categories, customer shopping behavior, influencers, and product nuances.
  • Stay ahead of consumer trends and leverage this knowledge to bring in brands that will excite our customers.

Requirements

  • You’re passionate about our mission and excited by the idea of joining a high growth start-up in the e-commerce space
  • You have ~3 years of experience in a fast-paced, external facing role, with a track record of working quickly and delivering results
  • You’re scrappy, creative, and flexible enough to work in an ambiguous environment
  • You’re a problem solver with solid business acumen who’s comfortable working with limited guidance - you can take direction and run with it, but know when to pause and ask for direction
  • You have experience with social commerce apps as a user and/or creator
