The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Second Shift Operations Manager to oversee various key departments within our fulfillment center during the evening shift. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our operations and ensuring that we meet our goals for customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving Department: Manage the landing positions, ensure accurate accounting for parcels, and oversee the integration of goods into our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Inventory Control: Conduct SKU audits related to receiving discrepancies and picking failures, maintaining inventory accuracy and system integrity.
  • Picking and Packing Department: Oversee the order picking and packing processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in meeting customer orders.
  • Returns Processing: Manage the processing of customer returns, ensuring they are handled accurately and swiftly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Agency Staff Management: Effectively manage the integration and training of agency staff during peak periods. Ensure training is quick, effective, and accurate to maintain operational standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse or fulfillment center management, particularly in an evening or night shift capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their operation.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and direct large teams effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of managing data, reports, and analytics to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in training and integrating temporary or agency staff quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a similar role.
