Senior Technical Tax Manager CPA/EA (Full-Time, Remote, USA)

Gelt is a tech-driven tax company providing premium tax solutions for closely-held businesses, HNWIs, and investors. Our goal is to optimize our clients’ taxes and ensure their compliance by utilizing our proprietary technology platform and team of expert in-house tax professionals.

You will:

• Stay updated with the latest tax regulations and provide authoritative advice on challenging tax matters.
• Scrutinize intricate tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal tax positions before filing.
• Act as the primary technical resource for the tax team.
• Address and resolve inquiries and provide guidance on complex client scenarios.
• Lead mentoring, training, internal processes, and procedures.
• Meet with high-profile/complex clients.
• Assist with developing and designing tax models based on current regulations and tax strategies.
• Assess and validate current tax software.

Who You Are:

• CPA or EA with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and mentoring a small tax team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• Deep knowledge of federal tax law, including pass-throughs and corporations.
• Tech-savvy and process-oriented—comfortable optimizing workflows.
• Able to distill complex tax issues into clear, actionable advice.
• Motivated by autonomy, impact, and building something meaningful.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with 1120s, trusts, estates, and gift tax planning.
• Familiarity with private equity and venture capital clients.
