Description

We’re looking for an exceptional generalist to join MetalBear as our first Solution Engineer in the APAC region. You’ll have the rare opportunity to design, build, and lead the APAC customer function from the ground up—playing a key role in shaping our go-to-market strategy and delivering outstanding experiences. As MetalBear’s first APAC Solution Engineer, you will own the entire customer journey—from initial engagement and onboarding through ongoing customer success. Acting as the primary point of contact, you'll expertly navigate pre-sales demonstrations, execute Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), manage deployments, and ensure our customers continually derive maximum value from our platform.

You’ll work directly with our Sales team and CEO , quickly becoming the customer expert and trusted advisor for all things MetalBear. This role will evolve dynamically, offering plenty of opportunities for growth, ownership, and specialization based on your strengths and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead pre-sales activities including demos, POCs, product configuration, and onboarding, seamlessly transitioning customers into successful long-term partnerships.
  • Customer Success: Build trusted relationships with customers at every level, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and growth through strategic upselling and proactive problem-solving.
  • Operational Excellence: Create scalable processes, documentation, and best practices to streamline future customer onboarding, deployments, and support interactions.
  • Product Expertise: Become deeply knowledgeable about MetalBear's platform to effectively advise customers and contribute significantly to product roadmap discussions based on customer insights.
  • Voice of the Customer: Actively gather feedback and insights from customers, relaying key information back to internal teams to drive continuous product and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in high-performance environments (startups, scale-ups, or hyper-growth companies).
  • Hands-on with AWS, GCP, or Azure; strong coding skills and experience with microservices/Kubernetes.
  • Proven or high potential in customer-facing roles, with professionalism and client-first mindset.
  • Quick learner, tech-savvy, and comfortable in technical discussions and problem-solving.
  • Execution-focused, self-driven, and thrives with minimal oversight.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical; consistently delivers high-quality results.
  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing tasks while balancing tactical and strategic goals.
  • Pre-sales or customer success experience (especially in quota-carrying roles) is a plus.
