About the Role

We are seeking someone who is passionate about engineering excellence and is ready to tackle complex problems from day one. You will not be confined to a narrow set of tasks; we're looking for star generalists capable of seamlessly operating across domains.

Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of Pelanor's purpose-built high-throughput database.
• Engage in solving complex algorithmic challenges on large datasets without breaking the (computational) bank.
• Assist in developing new analytical approaches that enrich cost data, providing core value to the product.
• Implement low-overhead instrumentation tooling to understand application behavior without modification.
• Keep it efficient - we can't help others if we can't keep our cloud costs low ("put your mask on first before helping others", right?)

You'll Be a Good Fit If You Have

• A minimum of 5 years of real-world experience in Rust, C++, or Go.
• Systems or database engineering experience - a major plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• A strong passion for collective ownership of engineering culture.
