Description
ScyllaDB, the real-time big data database company, is on the quest to make ScyllaDB Cloud the #1 Database as a Service product.
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the UI/UX of ScyllaDB Cloud.
You will work collaboratively with Customers, Product Managers, and Developers to improve the efficiency, ease of use, and overall quality of our ScyllaDB Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of ScyllaDB Cloud UI/UX
- Collaborate with other parts of the company to build a consistent UX and design system to be used across all ScyllaDB products.
- Work with Product Managers to translate wireframes and ideas into High-Fidelity Designs (for example in Figma)
- Work with the engineering teams to translate the design into implementation
- Ongoing proactive improvement of the UX based on data and customer feedback.
- Work together the frontend team to create reusable, responsive components that will be used in the product
Requirements
- Passionate about delivering high-quality products.
- Demonstrable experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing B2B and SaaS app designs, preferably in the Big Data or Cloud domains.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for details.
- Proven experience in Figma or similar design tools, from ideation to final hand-off, including complete prototypes.
- Experience with working independently / as a solo designer.
- Experience with the Material UI library, demonstrating an ability to create designs that are both functional and visually appealing.
- A solid grasp of UX principles, methodologies, and user-centered design processes, including responsive design.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to effectively communicate design ideas and decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in adapting designs based on user feedback and technical constraints.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
