Description
ScyllaDB is a fast-growing, global high-tech company providing managed cloud database solutions for high-profile enterprise customers. We are seeking a talented, highly motivated, and collaborative Corporate Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team in Herzliya Pituach.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will report directly to the General Counsel, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship across the entire legal spectrum, giving you a 360-degree view of how a global high-tech company operates. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced tech environment, contributing to critical projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Corporate & Governance: Handle corporate matters, including drafting board minutes and resolutions, and managing company options and equity incentive plans.
- Commercial Transactions: Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, DPAs, and partnership agreements.
- Employment Law: Advise on employment law matters and HR-related legal aspects to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain company policies to ensure global compliance with evolving laws and regulations including export control laws.
- Product: Work closely with product teams to advise on global legal aspects of our activities and analyze evolving global regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide legal support to all ScyllaDB departments and subsidiaries globally.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of post-internship experience in commercial and corporate law as an associate in a hi-tech department of a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal work with a global tech company.
- Proven experience in Corporate Law, specifically managing Company Options and equity plans, and preparing Board Minutes and resolutions.
- Strong background in Commercial Law, including drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Familiarity with Employment Law and experience handling Privacy issues are significant advantages.
- Qualified lawyer and member of the Israel Bar Association (additional certification in another jurisdiction is a plus)
- Fluent English (written and spoken) with the ability to lead complex negotiations and gain the respect of cross-functional stakeholders.
- A collaborative ‘can-do’ approach and a strong sense of ownership; ability to lead tasks independently with high integrity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cross-departmental tasks and deadlines.
