THE ROLE

We are hiring an Account Executive to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing pipeline, qualifying opportunities and closing deals with organizations looking to embed banking infrastructure (accounts, cards, money movement and/or lending) into a new or existing offering. Our Sales Team is based primarily out of New York, so we are only considering NYC-based candidates who are able to be in office at minimum 3x per week.

As we are in hyper-growth mode here at Unit. Sales is critical to our success, and AEs are at the core of our sales organization. We are looking for people who are self-starters, comfortable working in an unstructured environment, inquisitive, coachable, enthusiastic, and looking to play a big role in the future of fintech.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, qualify, pitch and close high-quality opportunities with inbound and outbound prospects at Unit’s strategic accounts.

  • Build prospect engagement strategies and partner with marketing, business development, product and other departments to build qualified pipeline.

  • Own full sales cycle and successfully implement winning deal and negotiation strategies that maximizes revenue and Unit’s chance of winning.

  • Have a deep understanding of the industry, pain points and decision-making process for the strategic accounts you own. Leverage these to build business cases with a compelling vision for prospects to launch banking with Unit.

  • Conduct high impact demos, presentations and coordinate and run successful cross functional meetings.

  • Have a deep knowledge of our offering and be able to communicate to senior level customer executives, the value of Unit relative to their needs and our competition.

  • Serve as an ambassador for the Unit brand - become a product expert and evangelize the benefits of our platform.

  • Partner with Unit's Sales team to develop and refine our sales processes and playbooks. Engage with cross-functional teams to help drive product strategy.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant Sales AE experience, selling complex technical B2B software or SaaS products or services to mid-sized companies preferred.

  • Detail oriented, accountable and thoughtful with demonstrated success selling in a fast-paced environment.

  • Built successful relationships and trust with senior client stakeholders at strategic accounts; including CEOs, Chief Product Officers and CTOs.

  • Prospecting experience through warm and cold channels into strategic accounts.

  • Skilled negotiator with experience following a sales process and methodologies to implement winning and scalable deal strategies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to answer prospect requests.

  • Strong qualification and accurate forecasting skills, with the ability to drive urgency with clients and work to mutual action plans.

  • Entrepreneurial doer who takes ownership and is constantly looking for ways to improve our product, process and client experience.

  • Coachable, organized team player with high energy and a good work ethic.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • NYC-based or willing to relocate.

COMPENSATION

The base salary for this role is expected to be $120,000 - $130,000 per year. In addition to generous benefits, this role is eligible for equity and variable compensation. The final offer will be decided by factors including experience level, expertise, and location.
